Dear Challenge Organizers,

I am writing to address issues I experienced during my recent submission attempt for the BONBID-HIE2024. Despite my algorithm performing well locally, uploading the container took an excessive amount of time, and the platform presented several challenges.

Like other participants, I too faced technical difficulties and was unable to successfully submit. Specifically, my final submission failed because the predicted mask values were in floating points (1.0 and 0.0) rather than binary integers (1 and 0), an issue I only discovered 15 minutes prior to the deadline. Additionally, other failures stemmed from the necessity for the container to be built on the amd64 architecture rather than ARM, and the requirement for specific User and Group settings within the container. These requirements were not clear to me prior to the deadline, leading to several hours spent addressing and resolving these issues.

Given these technical challenges and the simple yet critical adjustments needed, I would greatly appreciate an extension of the submission deadline to make these necessary corrections.

Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your support in resolving these issues.

Best regards,
