What data do we collect?

Grand Challenge collects the following data:

  • Personal identification information (Name, email address, institution, location, department, website)
  • IP address and user agent for quality of service purposes

You directly provide Grand Challenge with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Register online or place an order for any of our products or services.
  • Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email.
  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

How will we use your data?

Grand Challenge collects your data so that we can:

  • Manage your account.

How do we store your data?

Grand Challenge securely stores your data encrypted in a database hosted by AWS.

Grand Challenge will keep your account information for the duration that your account is open. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data by removing it from the database.

Marketing

Grand Challenge would like to send you information about products and services of ours that we think you might like, as well as those of our partner companies.

  • Currently, no other organisations receive data from Grand Challenge.

If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date (opt in and out by (un)checking the “Receive newsletter” box in your profile settings).

You have the right at any time to stop Grand Challenge from contacting you for marketing purposes or giving your data to other members of the Grand Challenge Group.

If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please uncheck “Receive newsletter” in your profile settings.

What are your data protection rights?
