Technical questions on submission requirements

Technical questions on submission requirements

  By: capybara on March 3, 2025, 7:50 a.m.

Hi,

Thanks for organizing this interesting challenge! I entered this challenge quite late and have two questions:

  1. Do we expect the submission code to work on any 3D input sizes (various in depth, width, height)?

  2. The deadline for the evaluation phase is March 17. Is this also the deadline for submission or is the submission deadline March 8th?

Hello,

  1. Yes, we've made several "black-crops", so you can have any input image size. As this is a “frame to frame” job, the predicted output images must have the same sizes.

  2. I'm not sure I understand the question. We have established 2 phases: the test phase and the evaluation phase. The test phase is for testing only, like a mock exam. It is only used to prepare and test your dockers and to familiarize yourself with the submission process on Grand challenge. You have 5 (successful) submissions. This ends at the end of this week. Next, the evaluation phase (starting today) involves just one submission and results in the final ranking. It starts today and ends on March 17.

Do not hesitate to contact us if needed,

Best

Hi there,

Thanks for your response!

  1. I now understand that input and output must be the same. But can you elaborate more on this?

Yes, we've made several "black-crops", so you can have any input image size.

  2. I see, understood!

Best,
