Hello,

in the policy dab of your challeng you specified "all external private data" leads to you being unable to participate or get ranked. I am not sure how this is to be interpreted: Is it allowed to use public external data for e.g. pre-training, as long as it is publicly available or does this exclude such public data pretraining and ONLY data from the challenge can be used?

Hi Tassilo,

Sorry for the confusion with our wording. Yes, you are allowed to use public data (outside of the challenge data) for pre-training. The scenario we want to avoid is any pre-training with private datasets that are not publicly available to others. Hopefully that answers your question.

Edit: We have modified the wording on the Participation Policies page to clarify this point.
