Dear ToothFairy2 Participants,

The moment we've all been waiting for has arrived! 🎉 We're excited to reveal the winners of the ToothFairy2 Challenge:

🥇 First Place: Yannick Kirchhoff (@YannickKirchhoff)
🥈 Second Place: Yuxian Jiang (@Oculins)
🥉 Third Place: Haoshen Wang (@Mors)

The prizes will be awarded in person at the MICCAI2024 conference on the morning of October 6th. A certificate will be available for all of the challenge participants.

As you may have noticed, the leaderboard recently changed. Indeed, some of the submissions have been removed because they overlap: they have the same code/model and the same weights but different post-processing. Having overlapped submissions from multiple accounts was not allowed by the challenge policies and deeply affects the final leaderboard, which is based on the average of different rankings. This is why removing them also changes the final performance ordering.

Congratulations to our talented winners, and a big round of applause to everyone who participated. We are delighted with the enormous effort everyone made to submit their innovative algorithm for this challenge. All of you have made a huge contribution to advancing the field.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Marrakech! Any participant is warmly invited to present their work during the onsite MICCAI event and enjoy the ToothFairy2 challenge discussion.

Due to its overwhelming success, we'll do our best to bring ToothFairy back in 2025 for a third enchanting round!

Do not forget to submit the paper describing your challenge submission to our workshop https://openreview.net/group?id=MICCAI.org/2024/Workshop/ToothFairy!

Best regards,
Federico Bolelli, on behalf of the ToothFairy2 organizers
