I don't have a background in nuclear imaging, so I ask this question. There are some cases in which we can see unusually high levels of uptakes in PET images. Nevertheless, those regions were not included as target labels. For example, the case "psma_ffcaa75377465b37_2018-03-04" in the training set seems to have high uptakes in H&N regions. Is there a clinical explanation for this? (see the attached image). Many thanks in advance!

This looks like benign uptake in the parotid gland, which makes sense for psma PET.
