Relation between T1 and T2

Relation between T1 and T2

Hello Reuben, could you please say whether the T1 and T2 images in the training set are from the same patients? If so, how can one figure out the relation between thereof: in source-training folder numbering of the files starts from 1, and in target-training it starts from 106? The main issue is that cochlea area is not clearly visible on T1 (only visible on T2), but the labels are provided only for T1. So some knowledge about correspondence between T1 and T2 is somewhat needed. Best,

Hello Ibbm,

As mentioned by a.carafo, the ceT1 and T2 scans from the training set are unpaired, i.e. from different patients.

However, please note that the segmentations were performed using co-registered ceT1 and T2 scans. T2 scans offer a better contrast for segmenting the cochlea, and the T2 information was mostly used for this structure.
