Could you please provide the details regarding how the IHC slide was registered onto the PAS?

Sorry for the delayed response. We used HistokatFusion (a link to their website is provided on the MONKEY website). Our strategy ended up consisting of 3 steps:

1. We initially started with a local version of HistokatFusion (0.10). This showed good results for approximately 70-80% of the cases and was very fast.

2. For the remaining 20-30% of cases with missalignment or complete failure, we applied a newer version (histokatfusion-2.3.4). Still some cases kept failing.

3. For these cases we used the same version as step 2 but included a manual step where 3 reference points were selected on the images. In general, these were cases with tissue folds/slide artefacts that had occured during the IHC restaining procedure.

Finally 4 cases kept failing. I hope this answers your question.
