2 different teams from our company wants to participate in competition, is it necessary that we merge teams and participate or we can form 2 independent teams.

Thank you for joining the challenge. I understand your questions and I do not think it is necessary to merge your teams. However, this is on the condition that you will work independent (on which we have to believe you because we are of course not able to check this) and on the condition that your methodology is sufficiently different.
