nuclei distribution in metastatic samples

nuclei distribution in metastatic samples

Hi, In the Data Description section, in Figure 1 (https://puma.grand-challenge.org/dataset/), you provide the distribution of nuclei in primary samples. Would it be possible to provide similar statistics for metastatic samples?

All the best, Amirreza

Dear Amirreza,

The figure describes the distribution for both the primary samples and the metastatic samples. The last row of each set (training, preliminary test set and final test set) is the primary samples (in bold to emphasize this). The other organs such as bone, brain etc are all metastatic samples (melanoma is a skin tumor so primary lesion is for example never a brain).

I do understand the confusion as I did not describe it so clearly. As someone working for a long time on the dataset some things seem logical which isn't always the case. I will update the text and thank you for asking.

Good luck with the challenge!

Kind regards, Mark
