Hey,

I am slightly confused about the word "open" being in parenthesis. Does this mean the pre-trained weights themselves have to be publicly available or is it just a recommendation that the pre-trained weights should preferably be publicly available?

In summary, is it allowed to use pre-trained weights that have been trained exclusively on public data, but the pre-trained weights are not public yet?

Best, Karol

Hi Karol,

Thank you for checking with me. Yes, it is allowed to use pre-trained weights that have been trained on public data, without the pre-trained weights themselves being published. Therefore, you can either train your model on public data + PENGWIN, or use previously published trained network models and develop on them.
