Questions about the Closed Testing Phase and the methodology paper

Questions about the Closed Testing Phase and the methodology paper

Dear LUNA25 organizers,

Thank you for organizing this challenge. I would like to ask a few clarifications regarding the arXiv methodology paper and some details of the Closed Testing Phase submission process:

  1. Should the arXiv paper be a full paper with a complete structure (e.g., introduction, methods, results, conclusion) or just a short document focused only on the methodology?
  2. Is there any official template we should follow for the paper (e.g., LaTeX or Word format)?
  3. Should all contributors to the algorithm be listed as authors on the arXiv paper, or only the three members who would appear in the final challenge paper if selected among the top 5?
  4. Could you please confirm the deadline for submitting the arXiv paper and GitHub link — should it be done at the beginning of the Closed Testing Phase or by the end of it?

Thank you for your time and support.

Best regards, Benito

Dear Benito,

Thank you for your questions. Here is my point-by-point response:

  1. The arXiv paper should be a short summary on your methodology (2-3 pages). For readability, you are free to follow the usual structure of introduction, methods, results, conclusion, while focussing on the methods.
  2. You can comply to the abstract submission guidelines (https://info.arxiv.org/help/submit/index.html#submission-guidelines) for your submission.
  3. Feel free to decide this with the additional authors. I could understand if more members participated in your model, they would like to be on the arXiv paper.
  4. The arXiv paper should be ready at the end of the Closed Testing Phase.

Hope this answers your questions.

Kind regards,
Dre
