Dear LUNA25 participants,

Next week on 1 July 2025, we will open the submission system for the LUNA25 Closed Testing Phase. Here is some important information to take into account:

  • Make sure your final model has been submitted to the Open Development Phase if you haven't done so already. This will prevent your final model from resulting in unexpected behavior.

  • The Open Development Phase will remain open until the end of the Closed Testing Phase. Therefore, you can still further develop your algorithm.

  • The Closed Testing Phase will begin on 1 July 2025 and will close on 31 July 2025. During this period, each team (not each participant per team) will be allowed to make one algorithm submission to the Closed Testing Phase Leaderboard. If multiple submissions are made, only the first submission from that team at the end of the submission deadline will be used on the leaderboard. Therefore, if you plan on further developing your algorithm, only submit it once you have decided on your final algorithm.

  • For submission of your final AI algorithm, navigate to the Closed Testing Submission page, select your algorithm, upload your supplementary file and/or enter your publication URL, and click "Save" to submit. Your supplementary file (2–3 pages) should briefly describe your algorithm design and training strategy. You can upload this document using the "Supplementary File" field in the submission form, or use the "Publication" field to share a URL to the same document. If you're submitting an AI algorithm that has already been presented in one of your team's prior publications, then you can directly share a URL to that publication. Please note, this step is mandatory if you want to qualify as one of the top teams in the challenge. If you have been selected as one of the top algorithms and have not provided this document in your submission, we will contact you to request it later on.

Important! Results of all submissions (without errors and compliant with all participation rules) will be pre-computed in a hidden setting. Once the Closed Testing Phase ends, we will reach out to the top performing teams and invite them to present their work during our MICCAI2025 challenge workshop. After this workshop, the results will be made publicly available on the leaderboard.
