Test Set Mask

Test Set Mask

Hi, Thanks for organizning the challenge.

I have a simple question realted to the test-set mask file. The mask has values of zero and one. In the training dataset the mask is outlining the tissue region. But as I noticed in the webinar, it seems like that for the test mask, the values of 1 are only outlining the ROIs. It could be one ROI or several ROIs for each test image. I am assuming that ROIs have square-like shapes. Is that correct? Basically, by reading the mask values of 1 form the test-set I should be able to extract ROIs?

Thanks a lot. Arian

Dear Arian,

The test masks for leaderboard 1 are multiple ROI masks with values of 1s and are rectangles. Your model only needs to predict in this ROI region. For leaderboard 2, the test masks will cover all the tissue and will only have 0s for the background and fatty tissue. You can also look at the illustrations in the evaluation section, which show what you can expect in both leaderboards.

Best wishes, Mart
