How to configure your viewer
There are three configuration layers to determine the look and feel of the viewer. These settings can be arranged as follows, from most general to most specific:
The Viewer configuration
contain mostly generic default values. Use it to:
- Set defaults for the image representations, such as slice thickness, windowing presets, interpolations, look-up tables etc.
- Configure which tools and plugins should be displayed
- Configure how multiple images should be linked.
See here for the existing viewer configurations.
The Hanging Protocol
determines how data is displayed. Use it to:
- Configure the view items, for example the number of view items and the relative size and location of each view item.
- Configure default orientation, label, and additional information displayed on the view item.
- Configure specialized views
See here for the existing hanging protocols.
The View content
determines which data is displayed and is specified in the context of an Algorithm, Archive or Reader Study. Use it to:
- Configure the content of each view item defined in the Hanging Protocol
- Configure images and overlays, case-specific labels and additional data.
See the next pages for a more detailed description of all configuration options.
